What are we all missing in the Night Sky?

Night sky spectrum artwork for the missing wavelengths post

When we look up at the night sky, we are only able to observe a fraction of the cosmos that surrounds our “pale blue” planet. Most of the electromagnetic emissions from the universe stay invisible to human eyes. Hence, the curiosity to see the unknown has led humanity to invent and develop telescopes and space observatories. But, the observations obtained from sky maps of different parts from the electromagnetic spectrum (illustrated in the figure below) may or may not validate observations from one electromagnetic wave to another and may lead us to many discoveries and questions. These have laid the foundations for the theories that we have today.
